This group is used to brainstorm and plan for activities, and to send messages and updates to organizers. If you'd like to contribute to the formation and administration of the Meetup group or the non-profit, or might be organizing in the future, feel free to join in.

If you'd like to organize an event for Get Out Philly
Please note that all our events need to follow these three guidelines:

• Organizers may not earn a profit from events they post on Get Out Philly
  
• Events must be outdoor and/or adventure-related. We do not post parties, art show openings, dinner only, etc. What makes an "adventure" an adventure is relative of course, but if you have to invent a lame reason to consider it an "adventure," it's not.
  
• Events should be posted at least one week in advance. Two weeks is better.

...with the added condition that if it is to be an actual "event," where members of Get Out Philadelphia will be asked to RSVP, the organizer should be around to look for, meet & greet and give the member a good experience of Get Out Philly. There is no need for Get Out to collect RSVPs--and risk a bad rating--if no one is going to be there to represent Get Out.
